The lessons will be shaped by your needs.

My years of teaching have taught me that every student has different needs and strengths, and that each student has his own way of learning languages.

Do you want to learn the basics for a trip to Iceland? Do you already speak the language but need to learn to read and write? Are you planning to move to Iceland and want to know more about the language, the culture, and the society? Are you a language nerd thrilled by Icelandic grammar? Do you want to understand your Icelandic in-laws?
I can help you out.

I give private lessons both in-person and via Skype for one to two people per session, in English or French. Each lesson is 55 minutes, but the frequency of private lessons depends entirely on the student.

The material I utilize most is free and can be found on-line here at Tungumálatorg. 
I augment that material with grammar exercises or simply tailor the lessons based on the students’ particular desires and needs.

I also give group lessons which take place once a week in Manhattan on Mondays. The classes take place at The Scandinavia House, 58 Park Avenue.          

Prices: $180 for 10 x 60 min lessons.
